WELCOME

We welcome you to the first post for the Hollywood Heritage Preservation Resource Center. In the next few months we plan to add and deepen the articles and resources here on the website, so that this can provide a companion to the physical center itself. Especially in this time of sheltering at home and limited activities, we wanted to make sure that the work of preservation continued.

Core to what we do is rooted in Education, History and Advocacy. The website in time will delve into these three areas of focus so that the community can understand what we fight for in Hollywood. More importantly we hope that it provides a center for learning how to bring your own passion for preservation to life, so that we can all be agents of change.

Although the Center’s initial purpose was as a location to restore the 1930’s miniature of Hollywood, the plan is for it to become much more. Our intention is to have live events, a growing resource library and a place for exploration. In the meantime keep coming back to the site as we plan to add content, as well as virtual events and other activities.
